December 29, 2025: Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Mr. Rana Tanveer Hussain, visited the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), University of the Punjab. During his visit, the Minister toured the Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine and the Cotton Research Laboratories, where he was briefed on advanced research facilities and ongoing scientific projects in field of Health and Agriculture.

The Director CEMB, Prof. Dr. Moazur Rahman, along with senior researchers and scientists, apprised the Minister of PU- CEMB’s key research activities, achievements, and progress in translational research. Special emphasis was placed on commercialization initiatives, industry linkages, and the role of CEMB in supporting national priorities in agriculture, biotechnology, and human health.

Mr. Rana Tanveer Hussain appreciated the efforts of PU-CEMB in promoting innovation-driven research and encouraged strengthening collaborations to translate scientific discoveries into practical solutions for national development.
